Canada's Italy Camp Roster Stocked with Fury Talent
Morace Announces 24-player Roster for Upcoming Camp Carolina Morace announced the 24-player roster that she will take to a training camp in Roma, Italy running August 25 - September 12 which will precede their September 15 international friendly against Germany in Dresden. Nine current and former Ottawa Fury players make up for over a third of the roster with 2010 Fury W-League player Bahar Sansar, Christina Julien, Alyssa Lagonia and Marie-Eve Nault all getting the nod. For Sansar this marks the first time that she has been called to the National Team, although she has ample experience in the Women's Youth Camps. The 5 other players with Fury ties, all former W-League players, are Robyn Gayle, Diana Matheson, Rhian Wilkinson, Melanie Booth and Carmelina Moscato.

All-Conference Team Fueled by Fury
Luik, Nault, Hearn and Taylor all Named to All-Conference Team  While the Ottawa Fury Women came up one goal short in the Central Conference Championship there was no denying the quality and quantity of talented players on the 2010 roster. Late Monday, the W-League announce the All-Conference Teams and the Ottawa Fury were well represented in the Central All-Conference line-up that include Fury defenders Aivi Luik and Marie-Eve Nault and strikers Jodie Taylor and Amber Hearn. All four Fury players had extremely strong seasons and often played key roles at one end of the field or the other in determining the outcome of several games for Ottawa this season.

Former Fury Star Ends Season for Ottawa
Fury Fall 1-0 to Buffalo Flash in Central Conference Final  The Ottawa Fury Women's run at a W-League Championship was halted Sunday evening in Niagara Falls following a 1-0 loss to the Buffalo Flash in the Central Conference Final. Kelly Parker put the Flash ahead in the 20th minute and with strikers Jodie Taylor and Tameka Butt out of the line-up due to injury the Fury were unable to pull even dashing their hopes capturing the seemingly elusive W-League Championship.

Fury Corner Kicked into Conference Final
Michelle Evans and Amber Hearn Tally in Semi-Final Win The Ottawa Fury defeated the Chicago Red Eleven 2-0 in the Central Conference Semi-Final on first half goals from Michelle Evans and Amber Hearn - both coming from corner kicks. The Fury will now advance to Sunday's Central Conference Final against the Buffalo Flash at 6pm.
Ottawa opened the scoring in the 11th minute when Michelle Evans curled a free kick in at the back post sending the Fury to an early 1-0 lead. The Fury would maintain much of the possession in the first half, but were unable to produce another threatening chance until the 45th minute when Amber Hearn redirected the Michelle Evans corner putting the Fury up 2-0 through 45 minutes of play.

W-League Playoff Preview
Fury to Face Chicago for Third Consecutive Season  With the Ottawa Fury W-League team wrapping up it's regular season with a 4-0 win over the Quebec City Amiral, the squad must now look forward to the 2010 playoffs as they search for an elusive first-ever W-League National Championship. Coming off Ottawa (8-1-3) had been neck in neck with the Buffalo Flash (10-0-2) for the right to host the conference playoffs, losing out only on point total in the last games of the season.

| Award Winning Women's Soccer
The Ottawa Fury name has become synonymous with spectacular women's soccer, and fans all across Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec know that their team is one of the best in the world. Ranked as high as 7th in the Women's World Football Top Teams list, the Ottawa Fury Women have complied an  astounding 88-17-6 record in seven seasons. Four appearances in the W-League Final Four and two in the W-League Championship match in five years has firmly established the Fury as one of the premier teams in North American women's soccer.
In 2008, the Fury finished the regular season with only one loss, winning the Northern Division title and qualifying for the playoffs for an incredible seventh season in a row. A first round victory led to a tough overtime loss to the Indiana Lionesses in the Eastern Conference Finals, marking only the third time in their history that the Fury have failed to qualify for the W-League Final Four. The team sported a division-best record of 13-1-0 with 51 goals for and only 7 against, with thirteen different players gracing the scoresheet. Ashly Kennedy won All-Conference honours and Shay Powell was awarded a spot on the W-League All-League team for their outstanding efforts during the season.
Along with a host of team awards, Ottawa Fury players have won their share of individual awards, including the 2004 W-League Player of the Year trophy that went to Kelly Parker. Parker, a five year veteran of the Fury squad, was one of only three Canadians drafted by the new Women's Professional Soccer League. Sixteen Fury players have played for Canada at the U-20 or National Team level. Five former Fury players competed on 2007 World Cup teams, Rhian Wilkinson, Diana Matheson, Robyn Gayle and Taryn Swiatek playing for Canada and Faye White on the England side.

| The W-League represents the highest level of Women's Soccer in North America with many of the best female players in the world participating. In each of the past six years, the Fury squad has qualified for the playoffs reaching the North American Championship  Finals twice (2005 & 2006) only to fall short to New Jersey and Vancouver respectively; the North American Championship Final Four 4 times (2003-2006) finishing 4th in 2003 and 3rd in 2004. The Fury's W-League team has been ranked as high as 7th in the world by www.womensworldfootball.com. In 2006, the team included 12 players who had played for Canadian national teams, and five members of Canada's World Cup squad. This season (2008) brought a new look to the squad with a new Head Coach, Craig Smith, and a vast array of talent from across the United State and Europe. After winning their division for a 5th consecutive season with a record of 13-1-0 they defeated the Chicago Gaels in the Conference Semi-Finals (3-2) only to fall to the expansion FC Indiana Lionesses 4-3 in overtime. The team's regular season record over the past six seasons has amassed to 71-6-3 (best in the W-League).
